Snappy Shopper Taps Purpl to Support Disabled Shoppers in the UK

Snappy Shopper will help ease everyday challenges for disabled shoppers by providing faster, more affordable access to groceries through discounts, free delivery, and an inclusive approach to convenience retail.

Snappy Shopper has teamed up with disability discount service Purpl to trial a new grocery initiative for disabled households. The partnership offers eligible users 25% off their first order and free delivery for three months.

Snappy Shopper operates through a mix of its own marketplace and white label solutions, connecting local convenience retailers with customers via app and web. The business works with more than 1,800 retail and hospitality clients, including major high street names like Spar, Premier, Nisa and Booker.

To access the discount, users must register with Purpl and provide proof of disability, such as a Blue Badge or Personal Independence Payment documentation. Once verified, a unique discount code is issued for use on Snappy Shopper’s app or website. Delivery is available in 30 to 60 minutes or via Click and Collect.

“We’re delighted to partner with Purpl to make Snappy Shopper more accessible to customers living with a disability. We hope this initiative will offer practical support and genuine savings at a time when they’re most needed,” said Mike Callachan, Chief Executive Officer at Snappy Shopper.

Founded in 2024 by Georgina Colman, who lives with multiple sclerosis and ADHD, Purpl was launched to tackle the additional expenses faced by disabled people. The platform provides access to discounts from a growing list of brands, including Debenhams, Sky, Hoover and Green People.

“I am really excited about our partnership with Snappy Shopper. I know first-hand how difficult it can be to get out and about when you have a disability, and it’s made worse when you have no one else to pop out to the shop for you,” added Mike Callachan, Chief Executive Officer at Snappy Shopper.

“Being able to use Snappy Shopper and get a delivery within an hour will make such a difference to the disabled community.”
