Uber Partners with DICK’S Sporting Goods

The service, powered by Uber, offers quick delivery, catering to urgent needs such as preparing for a sports event or gathering last-minute items for a tailgate (pre-game social gathering).

Uber Technologies and DICK’S Sporting Goods have announced a partnership that brings the retailer’s selection of sporting goods, athletic apparel, footwear, team sports gear, golf equipment, fan merchandise and more to the Uber Eats platform.

Dick’s speciality golf retailer Golf Galaxy’s inclusion in the partnership will allow golfers to have their equipment and accessories delivered directly to them.

“We believe that speed and convenience is key to our omnichannel experience, and we’re excited to launch our partnership with Uber Eats as an extension of that philosophy,” said Scott Casciato, VP of Omni-channel Fulfillment & Strategy at DICK’S Sporting Goods. 

“When those moments arise where new gear is needed, this partnership with Uber Eats extends our capabilities to give our athletes convenient shopping to get the products they need fast and in a way that is convenient for them.”

The service offers quick delivery, catering to urgent needs such as preparing for a sports event or gathering last-minute items for a tailgate [pre-game social gathering]. The partnership also supports Uber Eats’ expansion into retail, beyond its traditional food delivery service.
