Currys Ireland Unveils Store Mode Function

Currys Ireland has also rolled out electronic shelf edge labels across all Irish stores, replacing traditional paper price tags with dynamic digital displays.

Currys Ireland has announced the launch of two initiatives that aim to enhance the customer experience across stores.

A new Store Mode function means its teams are now equipped with tablets.

Keith Daly, Country Manager at Currys Ireland, said, “Store Mode brings all the benefits of our website to our shopfloor – maximum product choice, the ability to easily compare products, access to best of offers – with the added bonus of an in-person expert guide from our store team to answer any questions immediately.”

“You can also add a product to your account online and pop in-store, and we can finish the sale or change the product to better suit your needs.”

The retailer has also rolled out electronic shelf edge labels across all Irish stores, replacing traditional paper price tags with dynamic digital displays.

The new system delivers real-time pricing and clearer product information. It also removes the burden of manual labelling, saving significant paper and giving teams more time to help customers.

Keith Daly added, “And we haven’t stopped there – we have also introduced connected headsets and customer call points for all our colleagues, which improves productivity when working in large stores like ours and makes it easier to ask for help when you need it most.”

“These new initiatives are our latest investment to enhance the in-store customer experience as Ireland’s leading omnichannel retailer of technology products and services.”

“These wonderful projects have been some time in the making, and I would like to say a big thank you to all the people in Currys and our suppliers who have worked tirelessly to bring all these to life just in time for the busy Christmas period.”
