Prelim Enables Omnichannel Onboarding

Stearns Bank selected Prelim for its flexibility, core integrations, and ability to automate onboarding from application intake through identity verification and account issuance.

Prelim, a San Francisco-based fintech company that provides omnichannel account opening and digital onboarding tools for financial institutions, announced that Stearns Bank N.A. has selected its platform to manage the bank’s account opening process across in-branch and digital channels.

Stearns Bank is a nationally chartered, independently owned institution headquartered in St. Cloud, Minnesota, with more than a century of history and over 35,000 customers nationwide. The bank invests in technologies intended to expand access, simplify banking, and support customer relationships. 

Stearns Bank selected Prelim for its flexibility, core integrations, and ability to automate onboarding from application intake through identity verification and account issuance, while maintaining the bank’s existing service model.

The bank is updating its banking experience to reflect how customers and businesses operate today while maintaining its existing service approach.

The bank focuses on financial stability, measured growth, and providing access to capital for communities and entrepreneurs across the country.

Prelim works with financial institutions across the country and is backed by investors, including Y Combinator. The company has deployed its platform at community banks of various sizes.

Prelim is a Fiserv Premium App partner that supports Premier, Signature, DNA, Finxact, and Cleartouch cores. The company’s white-labelled, open-architecture solution integrates with Stearns Bank’s Fiserv Premier banking core and connects to existing and next-generation cores, KYC/BSA providers, and fraud tools through a single platform.
