Retell AI Launches Conductor for Production Voice Agents

Retell AI has launched Conductor, an AI copilot that helps enterprises test, review and optimise production voice agents for contact centres.

Retell AI, an AI voice agent platform, has launched Conductor, a graph-native review system designed for production voice agents. The AI copilot helps enterprises build simulation tests, analyse calls, and continuously improve AI voice agents used across contact centres.

Production voice agents rely on complex workflows that include routing logic, transfer rules, edge cases, compliance requirements and customer interactions. According to Retell AI, even a single workflow change can affect thousands of live customer calls.

The company said traditional AI tools typically generate recommendations outside the workflow, requiring teams to manually review and apply changes. Conductor operates within the workflow itself, allowing it to understand how proposed changes affect connected processes before they are implemented.

Teams can interact with Conductor using natural language prompts, such as requesting it to review recent calls or test edge cases. The platform then proposes workflow updates without requiring code or manual configuration, enabling product, operations and support teams to update production voice agents in less than 90 seconds.

Retell AI said Conductor already generates 70% of the company’s simulation tests and executes half of the production agent edits used by its engineering teams, helping accelerate deployments while improving reliability. The company added that the platform packages learnings from thousands of enterprise deployments into a single operationally aware system for building, testing and improving voice agents.

“Generic copilots weren’t enough. Building production-ready voice agents is far more complex than generating prompts or making isolated edits. Every change can impact customer experiences in unexpected ways. We built Conductor to think like an expert operator, not a generic assistant,” said Bing Wu, Co-Founder and CEO, Retell AI

As enterprises continue adopting AI across customer support, sales and contact centre operations, many organisations are managing increasingly complex workflows that require continuous optimisation, testing and oversight.

To address these challenges, Retell AI has introduced three core capabilities within Conductor.

The Graph-Native Review Interface displays every proposed change directly within the production workflow, rather than presenting text-based recommendations or JSON files. Users can review changes individually, compare before-and-after versions, approve or reject modifications, and undo decisions before deployment. Built-in safeguards prevent incorrect changes from being applied, ensuring nothing reaches production without approval.

The platform also provides Operational Intelligence by analysing failed customer calls, generating simulation tests to reproduce issues and presenting workflow improvements as reviewable proposals. Recommendations can be generated using failed calls, workflow steps, saved test cases or uploaded files, allowing teams to resolve issues using operational context rather than generic suggestions.

Through Embedded Expert Best Practices, Retell AI has incorporated insights from thousands of enterprise deployments into Conductor, enabling organisations to build and optimise production voice agents without requiring specialist AI expertise. The company said this helps enterprises move more confidently from AI experimentation to production-scale deployment.

“Most AI tools help you build something once, Conductor helps you operate, improve and scale voice agents every day after launch. That’s where the real challenge begins.” ” Wu added.

Retell AI’s no-code platform enables enterprises to deploy AI voice agents across healthcare, logistics, financial services, real estate and customer support.
