BP and Dia Launch Joint Loyalty Programme Across Spain

The loyalty programme by BP and Dia lets shoppers earn credits on fuel and groceries, with rewards managed through the miBP and Club Dia apps.

Energy company BP and Spanish convenience chain Dia have rolled out a collaborative loyalty programme to reward customers with discounts on fuel and groceries. This initiative will initially be available across 285 BP service stations and 950 Dia stores in the Community of Madrid and Andalusia.

Customers who purchase 30 litres of fuel at participating BP service stations will receive a €1 credit, redeemable for purchases at Dia stores. Conversely, shoppers who spend €30 at Dia stores will earn a €1 discount on their next fuel purchase at BP.

The benefits can be accumulated and managed through the existing miBP and Club Dia mobile applications. Following this initial phase, both companies plan to expand the loyalty programme to additional autonomous communities across Spain.

Nuria Guix, Senior Marketing Manager for Iberia at BP, said, “The launch of this joint loyalty offer confirms BP’s commitment to being the first choice for our customers, to whom we offer multiple benefits, including discounts on purchases and fuel, in partnership with a prestigious brand like Dia.”

Alberto Serrano, operations director of Dia Spain, said, “This alliance with BP reinforces our commitment to being closer to our customers every day, offering them more advantages and conveniences for their daily shopping.”

“At Dia, we work to make shopping an accessible experience, and this collaboration expands that offering, adding savings and convenience to their travel as well.”

The partnership also includes the establishment of ten pilot Dia convenience stores within BP service stations in Madrid and Andalusia. Four of these stores are already operational: in Las Rozas, Pozuelo de Alarcón, Leganés and Alcobendas.

These new locations offer a convenient and accessible shopping experience with extended hours, providing customers with a quick and high-quality selection of Dia-branded products and manufacturer items while they refuel.

This alliance in the Iberian Peninsula mirrors BP’s existing convenience partnerships in other regions, such as with HiperDino in the Canary Islands, Pingo Doce in Portugal, M&S Food in the UK, REWE To Go in Germany, and Auchan in Poland.
