The centrepiece of the installation was a 5×3 metre Absen K-Series LED display with a 3.9mm pixel pitch, designed to deliver vivid, high resolution visuals.
EcoVista, a specialist in large format LED and digital signage displays, has partnered with retail media firm Limited Space on an upgrade project at East Kilbride shopping centre, Scotland’s largest undercover shopping and leisure destination.
The project is part of Limited Space’s Orbit network – pitched as the UK’s most extensive large format digital signage network within malls – designed to modernise advertising assets, enhance visual engagement and elevate the shopper experience.
The upgrade includes a combination of digital kiosks and a large format LED display, integrated into the centre’s architecture. To meet sustainability goals, the installation used recycled materials and locally manufactured components.
It was carried out during out-of-hours periods to ensure minimal disruption to shoppers and tenants. A key challenge was positioning the large format LED screen under a glass atrium, requiring a high brightness display to maintain visibility even in direct sunlight.
EcoVista provided a full turnkey solution, overseeing the entire process from design and fabrication to installation and commissioning. At the core of the upgrade were 11 Vista6ix kiosks, EcoVista’s proprietary digital six-sheet kiosk product, each equipped with a 75-inch Samsung display. These included nine double sided and two single sided units, which were strategically positioned throughout the shopping centre to optimise visibility and engagement.
The centrepiece of the installation was a 5×3 metre Absen K-Series LED display with a 3.9mm pixel pitch, designed to deliver vivid, high resolution visuals even in high ambient lighting conditions.
Dave Neale, Managing Partner at EcoVista, said, “The East Kilbride Shopping Centre project is another example of how we help OOH media clients and landlords implement high quality digital assets efficiently and within budget.”
“Our team delivered multiple bespoke 75-inch digital kiosks and a stunning 3.9mm LED display, ensuring a seamless integration with the centre’s architecture. A huge thank you to our long standing client, Limited Space, for trusting us with another key DOOH deployment.”
