Gamma Communications Acquires BrightCloud Group for CCaaS

Gamma and BrightCloud

BrightCloud is a European Enterprise partner of Cisco, in the field of CCaaS, with additional expertise in the field of CX transformation. It manages various Cisco Contact Centre installations and Webex CCaaS solutions.

Technology-based services provider Gamma Communications has confirmed the acquisition of customer experience specialist BrightCloud Group, for an undisclosed fee. The shareholders of the purchased company were advised on the sale by professionals from FRP Corporate Finance.

Andrew Belshaw, CEO of Gamma, commented, “We are delighted to welcome BrightCloud and the team to the Gamma group. BrightCloud has a strong reputation in the Cisco ecosystem and deep expertise in supporting CCaaS implementations and CX transformations. Together, we can provide our current and future customers with the industry’s best-in-class solutions for leading CX and CCaaS delivery.”

Gamma Communications is a services provider focused on the European corporate and public sector markets. It already provides contact centre as service (CCaaS) solutions, support and services to companies. With the acquisition, Gamma can expand this line of expertise while also capitalising on growth opportunities for customer services and experience transformations with clients.

BrightCloud is a European Enterprise partner of Cisco, in the field of CCaaS, with additional expertise in the field of CX transformation. It manages various Cisco Contact Centre installations and Webex CCaaS solutions. So, as well as strengthening its position as a managed service provider in Europe, the deal means Gamma can deepen its own strategic partnership with Cisco in the process.

Gregor Campbell, Director of customer experience at BrightCloud, added, “We are excited to become part of Gamma for many reasons: the culture, the ambitious growth plans and the strong leadership which align well with our company ethos. Importantly for our customers, knowing that we are being acquired by an organisation that puts relationships first means that we know our customers will continue to receive the specialist care and attention they are accustomed to, but now with greater resources.”

The deal was supported by FRP Corporate Finance’s London team. The professionals advised the shareholders of BrightCloud Group on the sale – with partner James Mines, director Ed Shurville-Darlington and senior manager Madhavi Morjaria appointed due to their knowledge of the sector. According to the firm, “leveraging this sector expertise helped to position the business and identify strategic buyers, including Gamma, before negotiating the deal and managing it through to a successful completion”.

FRP Corporate Finance Partner Mines noted, “This represents an exciting deal in the CX and CCaaS space and I expect M&A in this area will increase in the future. CX and CCaaS are fast-growing markets and becoming key components to delivering strategic objectives and growth for organisations. Leading CX technology providers like BrightCloud, who have over 15 years of experience in this field, bring the expertise to harness the power and capability of CX and CCaaS, which is why Gamma see this as a strategic acquisition to acquire the capability in this area.”
