The lockers provide last-mile delivery options, with each unit serving between 50 and 100 families, with most placed within 300 metres of households.

Jetbeep, which provides software for autonomous parcel lockers, has inked a five-year strategic partnership with Omniva, the national postal operator of Estonia, providing technology for its Picapac network of community lockers in the Baltics.

The lockers provide last-mile delivery options, with each unit serving between 50 and 100 families, with most placed within 300 metres of households.

Picapac will now provide serial production of Jetbeep’s community lockers in Estonia, with pilots planned in Latvia and Lithuania.

“The first order – 150 lockers, of which 100 will serve as public service points – has been placed. The lockers should be ready by the end of November or early December, after which installation will begin immediately,” said Martti Kuldma, CEO at Omniva.

“Within five years, we want to reach about two thousand community parcel lockers across Estonia, and within ten years, we aim for nearly every household in Estonia to have a locker within 300 metres.”

Valery Chekalkin, CEO at Jetbeep, said, “We’re proud to support Omniva and Picapac in creating one of Europe’s most innovative locker networks, setting a new standard for last-mile delivery.”

“Our Community Locker is a true game-changer: it not only extends Omniva’s network with alternative lockers but also makes it more efficient by moving closer to customers with smaller units while reducing operational costs.”

“This gives Omniva a strong competitive advantage – not just by adding lockers, but by redefining how the last mile can operate.”
