JetBlue Partners with Venmo to Enhance Customer Experience

The Venmo partnership is part of JetBlue’s ongoing efforts to incorporate digital solutions that enhance the customer experience.

JetBlue recently partnered with Venmo to become the first airline to accept the payment app, offering customers a convenient and secure payment option when booking flights directly on the JetBlue website.

The new feature will soon be rolled out on the JetBlue mobile app. US travellers can now use their Venmo balance, linked bank accounts, credit cards, or debit cards for flight purchases, enhancing the booking experience.

JetBlue Chief Digital and Technology Officer Carol Clements said, “We’re continually looking for ways to make it easier to book a JetBlue flight on our website and mobile app. Adding Venmo offers a seamless payment option for customers who enjoy the ease and convenience of the Venmo platform.”

John Anderson, SVP and General Manager of Consumer Paypal, Venmo’s parent company, added, “Travel is not just about the destination, but the people you go with and how you share the experience. The added ability to pay with Venmo for flights on JetBlue and manage travel costs during the trip through Groups helps solve the pain points of shared expenses from the time of booking to returning home.”

The Venmo partnership is part of JetBlue’s ongoing efforts to incorporate digital solutions that enhance the customer experience. Last year, the airline’s mobile app introduced a boarding countdown feature on lock screens and easy access to gate information.

Customers who book directly through JetBlue’s website or mobile app are guaranteed to access the airline’s lowest fares and exclusive benefits, such as double points earning, Points Pooling, seat and space selections and upgrades, and 24/7 customer service.
