LG unveils its webOS-based Automotive Content Platform with Xbox gaming and Zoom integration, offering in-car entertainment and collaboration. The platform targets 20 million vehicles by 2030.
LG Electronics has unveiled its webOS-based Automotive Content Platform (ACP) at IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich, marking a significant step in the Software-Defined Vehicle era. Designed to transform vehicles into dynamic, software-driven hubs, ACP integrates entertainment, productivity, and connectivity in one ecosystem.
“Leveraging nearly 70 years of customer experience expertise in home appliances and IT, LG has a unique competitive edge to redefine the vehicle from a simple means of transportation into a living space centered on the user experience,” said Eun Seok-hyun, President of the LG Vehicle Solution Company. “We aim to supply our webOS-based ACP to 20 million vehicles by 2030 while continuously expanding our content and service ecosystem.”
Among its new features, LG announced partnerships with Xbox and Zoom to expand the platform’s capabilities. Passengers will soon be able to stream and play hundreds of Xbox games directly from in-car displays via cloud gaming, provided they have an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription and a Bluetooth controller. The move brings console-level gaming on the road, ensuring seamless progression between home and in-car play.

“At Xbox, we’re always looking for new ways to bring the joy of gaming to more people, wherever they are. Through our work with LG, we are expanding the experience and value of gaming even further for players,” said Chris Lee, Vice President of Xbox Marketing.
“Soon, passengers can access their gaming library and carry their progression with them wherever they go – whether on the road or at home. Bringing Xbox to the in-vehicle experience means every journey is not only more entertaining but supports the flexibility players expect from Xbox.”
In parallel, Zoom will provide a native in-vehicle collaboration app, enabling drivers and passengers to join meetings, manage work, and stay connected while reducing distractions. This expands ACP beyond entertainment to productivity, reflecting changing mobility needs.
Building on the success of webOS, which powers over 240 million smart TVs worldwide, ACP offers access to global streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, and YouTube, alongside local platforms. LG plans to supply ACP to 20 million vehicles by 2030, positioning cars as “living spaces on wheels.”
