Most items available for shipping, representing the majority of products sold in Target stores, will be eligible for next-day delivery, with free service on orders over $35 and flexible options for Target Circle members.
American retailer Target is set to expand its next-day delivery service for online orders to 35 major US metropolitan areas by the end of October. The expansion will cover cities such as San Francisco, Chicago and Los Angeles, along with several other key cities in the US.
Customers in these areas will be able to receive their purchases the following day. The retailer has stated that most items available for shipping, which represent the majority of products sold in its stores, will be eligible for this next-day delivery service. For orders over $35, the service will be free.
Additionally, next-day delivery will be available without a minimum spend for Target Circle 360 members and those using a Target Circle Card. Target has indicated its intention to extend next-day delivery to even more locations next year, aligning with its stores-as-hubs strategy.
Currently, the company provides same-day delivery to approximately 80% of the US population and two-day shipping to 99%. The Order Pickup and Drive-Up services will continue to be available free of charge.
