The collaboration aims to accelerate Morrisons’ digital transformation, streamline operations and enhance the customer experience across its 500 stores. 

TCS has announced an expanded five-year partnership with Morrisons, one of the UK’s largest supermarket chains. 

The collaboration aims to accelerate Morrisons’ digital transformation, streamline operations and enhance the customer experience across its 500 stores. Under the new agreement, TCS will help align operations across key business functions, including retail, ecommerce and marketing. 

The initiative is designed to improve operational efficiency, modernise legacy platforms and embed AI-powered solutions to deliver faster, data-driven outcomes. 

TCS will also establish an automation factory and a Business Intelligent Command Centre (BICC) to provide a 360-degree operational view, enable proactive issue resolution, and support better decision-making.

The technology-led transformation will also encompass the grocer’s loyalty, marketing, ecommerce and retail platforms, with an emphasis on delivering new digital products at speed.

Through these efforts, Morrisons aims to reduce service disruptions and manual interventions while offering a more seamless and engaging shopping experience. The initiative will also help the supermarket consolidate its vendor base and achieve greater synergy across business areas.

The expanded scope builds on a decade-long partnership that began in 2014. Together, TCS and Morrisons have implemented multiple modernisation initiatives, including a supply chain transformation program that improved lead times, addressed stock availability issues and reduced waste. 

TCS has also collaborated with Morrisons to enhance HR experiences through IT and engineering modernisation.
