Wing has announced a partnership with Blue Bell Creameries and Walmart to offer drone delivery of Blue Bell’s newest ice cream flavour. For a limited time, customers in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex can receive a free pint of the Classic Pecan Pie flavour, delivered directly to their doors.
The initiative highlights how drones can handle delicate items. “Ice cream is a great way to experience the benefits of drone delivery,” Wing stated in its release.
“Orders arrive so quickly that we’re able to handle delicate items that are difficult to deliver by traditional means. Our average flight time from stores to customer homes is about four minutes, which means your ice cream will arrive frozen and ready to enjoy.”
The offer is available through the Wing drone delivery app. Customers can claim one free pint with no delivery fees, tips, or minimum purchase requirements. Deliveries will be made from 14 Walmart locations across the DFW area.
