Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions has announced that Merco, a supermarket chain in northern Mexico, is implementing its MxP Self-Checkout offering in stores across the region.

“Merco has always been a retail innovator in Monterrey, Mexico,” said Eduardo Lozano, CIO/CFO at Merco.

“I believe our investment in Toshiba’s self-checkout technology demonstrates our continued commitment to always put the customer first and enhance the service and experience when customers visit our stores

Eugene Shvartsman, SVP, Global Sales at Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, said, “We’re proud to support Merco in its mission to elevate the shopping experience for its customers.”

“Toshiba’s MxP Self Checkout is intuitive and easy to use, and it also provides the flexibility and intelligence needed to empower retailers to adapt to the evolving demands of modern retail.”

Toshiba worked with partners Swedarey and Microsistemas Californianos on the installation. Swedarey facilitated the sale of self-checkout solutions and services to Merco, complemented by MCSA’s software and PoS integration support.
