Agora Launches Conversational AI Agent Solutions

Agora’s platform is currently being deployed by organisations for customer service and outbound engagement operations.

Agora has announced the launch of its Conversational AI Agent solutions targeting customer service and sales operations.

The platform combines three components: Agent Studio, a no-code development environment; a Conversational AI Engine that integrates speech recognition, language models, and text-to-speech capabilities; and the company’s SDRTN network infrastructure designed to reduce latency.

The AI Customer Service Agents are designed to handle routine inquiries, including appointment reminders, shipping updates, technical troubleshooting, and billing questions. The system provides automated support and can escalate interactions to human agents when required.

The AI Sales & Marketing Agents focus on outbound engagement for debt collection, payment processing, lead qualification, surveys, and event polls. The technology adapts messaging during conversations and can schedule meetings.

Alejandro Pinto Villalba, Executive Director at FasesBI, stated the company achieved a 10% conversion rate using Agora’s voice AI agents for survey participant recruitment, compared to manual dialling methods.

Gartner projects that conversational AI agents will automate 70% of customer interactions by the end of 2027, and AI agents are expected to outnumber human sellers 10 to 1 by 2028.

“By solving the latency and orchestration challenges that have historically limited voice AI, we’re enabling companies to finally deploy conversational agents at scale without compromising on the quality of the customer experience,” said Tony Zhao, Founder and CEO of Agora.

The platform is currently being deployed by organisations for customer service and outbound engagement operations. Agora, headquartered in Santa Clara, California, provides real-time engagement APIs and serves over 2,000 organisations.

In other recent news, Agora, Inc. has announced a strategic partnership with Sentino to develop an AI Agent Platform for Physical AI. This platform is designed to assist companies in creating AI companions that possess emotional engagement capabilities. Agora’s Conversational AI Engine will be at the core of this platform, integrating real-time conversation features with memory, emotion, and multimodal expression.

Additionally, Agora is expanding its collaboration with MiniMax, following MiniMax’s recent IPO. This expanded partnership will see the integration of MiniMax’s text-to-speech technology and multimodal foundation models with Agora’s existing AI Engine and global real-time delivery network.

These developments signal Agora’s continued efforts to enhance its AI capabilities and partnerships.
