Amazon Pharmacy Offers Eli Lilly’s Foundayo with Same-Day Delivery

Amazon Pharmacy expands delivery coverage to nearly 3,000 cities and towns, with plans to reach approximately 4,500 locations by the end of the year.

Amazon Pharmacy has offered Eli Lilly and Company’s recently approved GLP-1 medication, Foundayo, a once-daily oral treatment for adults with obesity or overweight with weight-related medical problems.

Customers with a valid prescription can order Foundayo through Amazon Pharmacy, view real-time medication availability, access transparent pricing, and receive fast nationwide delivery directly to their door.

By leveraging Amazon’s delivery logistics network, the service enables reliable nationwide delivery, including same-day delivery in eligible locations.

Pricing starts as low as $1 per day with insurance and $5 per day for cash-paying customers, with manufacturer-sponsored coupons applied automatically at checkout.

In remote areas, customers can receive next-day, two-day, or three-day delivery, offering a faster alternative compared to traditional mail-order services.

The company also introduced in-office, pharmacist-supported kiosks at select One Medical locations, allowing customers to access medications within minutes after appointments.

These capabilities are designed to reduce wait times and improve access to medications by offering multiple delivery and pickup options.

“Amazon Pharmacy is reducing barriers for customers to access new weight management treatments like Foundayo,” said Tanvi Patel, Vice President and General Manager, Amazon Pharmacy.

Patel added, “We are giving customers faster treatment options with our Same-Day Delivery offering, easy ways to save with automatically applied manufacturer coupons and the price transparency they need to make informed decisions about their care.”

“At Lilly, we believe that medications can best fulfil their promise when patients can actually access them,” said Laura Steele, Group Vice President of US Cardiometabolic Health, Eli Lilly and Company.

Steele added, “If prescribed, patients may be able to have Foundayo on their doorstep the same day or walk out of their doctor’s office with it in hand in Los Angeles — eliminating the waiting and uncertainty that patients may face when starting their treatment journey.”
