Descartes Acquires Drivin to Expand AI-powered Last-mile Delivery

Descartes has acquired Drivin to strengthen its AI-powered last-mile delivery capabilities, helping businesses improve delivery performance and customer experiences across Latin America.

Descartes, a provider of logistics and supply chain technology solutions, has acquired Drivin, a last-mile delivery management platform serving businesses across Latin America. The acquisition expands Descartes’ AI-powered logistics capabilities, helping distributors, retailers, consumer goods companies, and logistics providers improve delivery performance while meeting growing customer expectations for faster, more reliable deliveries.

Drivin’s platform combines route optimisation, dispatch management and real-time delivery visibility with machine learning and agentic AI capabilities. The solution is widely used in high-density urban environments, where businesses face increasing logistics complexity alongside rising service expectations.

Drivin is headquartered in Santiago, Chile. Descartes acquired Drivin for an upfront cash consideration of approximately US$30 million, funded with cash on hand, with an additional performance-based earn-out of up to US$5 million based on the combined business achieving revenue targets during the first two years following the acquisition.
