Cyprus Airways Strengthens Direct Booking Experience with PROS airTRFX

Cyprus Airways has implemented PROS airTRFX to strengthen its direct booking experience, helping travellers discover relevant offers while supporting the airline’s digital retail strategy.

Cyprus Airways has implemented PROS airTRFX, an airline offer marketing platform to transform its website into a digital storefront that connects travellers with relevant, bookable offers. The implementation supports the airline’s digital retail strategy by strengthening its direct booking experience and helping customers discover offers more easily.

As part of its broader digital retailing strategy, Cyprus Airways used the airTRFX content management system to build its website experience, expanding its digital presence without requiring manual web development. The platform’s landing pages are designed to be SEO and GEO-optimised by default, helping improve discoverability while reducing the operational effort required to create and maintain digital offer pages.

The implementation supports Cyprus Airways’ focus on presenting relevant, bookable offers earlier in the traveller journey while creating a more efficient path from trip discovery to purchase.

The initiative forms part of the airline’s wider digital transformation strategy to modernise its commercial operations, enhance the customer experience, and strengthen its direct digital sales capabilities. By investing in digital retail technologies, Cyprus Airways aims to build more seamless customer journeys while creating a scalable foundation for future growth.

“PROS transformed our website from a marketing presence into a measurable revenue engine. Customers arriving from search engines could interact directly with relevant destinations and view live pricing information. This improved the quality of traffic reaching our booking flow and helped create a more seamless customer experience,” said Pavlos Sarkas, IT Manager, Cyprus Airways.

Following the implementation, Cyprus Airways reported improved direct channel performance and growth in direct sales contribution. The airline recorded a 19.5 percentage-point increase in bookings made through its website and a 20.5 percentage-point increase in the website’s contribution to total revenue.

“Modern airline retailing depends on connecting traveller intent with relevant, bookable offers earlier in the shopping journey. Cyprus Airways’ use of airTRFX, part of the PROS Offer Management Platform, shows how airlines can strengthen digital discovery, improve the path to direct booking and give commercial teams greater agility to respond to demand,” said Bhaskara Guntreddy, Senior Vice President, Product Management, PROS.

airTRFX is part of the PROS Offer Management Platform, enabling airlines to create and manage destination and route pages while reducing reliance on manual web development. The platform also allows commercial teams to update digital content and offers more efficiently as market conditions change.
