Asendia USA Expands Delivery Reach Through IB Partnership

Asendia USA is improving delivery speed, visibility, and coverage across non-continental US markets through a logistics technology partnership.

Asendia USA has established a strategic integration partnership with International Bridge (IB) to expand its delivery capabilities across non-continental US destinations. The collaboration is designed to help brands improve delivery performance, reduce shipping costs, and enhance customer experiences in regions that have traditionally been difficult to serve efficiently.

International Bridge specialises in last-mile logistics and non-continental US shipping, while Asendia USA brings global ecommerce expertise and relationships with brands operating across international markets. Together, the companies aim to provide a more reliable direct-to-consumer delivery solution for businesses entering or expanding within the US market.

Improving Delivery Performance and Visibility

According to the companies, the partnership provides real-time shipment tracking, proactive exception management, and dedicated air service for non-continental deliveries. Typical transit times range between two and five days across major US routes, with reported average delivery times of 2.6 days to Hawaii, 3.3 days to Alaska, and 2.2 days to Puerto Rico.

The integrated solution also enables Asendia USA customers to access unified tracking, reporting, and customer support through a single operational framework. The companies said this simplifies onboarding while improving shipment visibility throughout the delivery journey.

“Previously, long transit times to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and US possessions led to claims and lost business. With the Asendia USA and International Bridge solution, delivery times improved from about two weeks to three to six days. Faster delivery, competitive cost, and improved visibility enhanced customer experience and supported growth in these regions,” said Gary Shunk, Executive Vice President, Asendia USA.

Expanding Access to Underserved Markets

The partnership extends Asendia USA’s delivery coverage to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, the US Virgin Islands, and military APO, FPO, and DPO addresses. These locations have historically presented challenges due to higher shipping costs and inconsistent delivery performance.

According to the companies, International Bridge’s routing technology and carrier network can reduce shipping costs by approximately 30% on qualifying non-continental shipments through optimised carrier selection, improved address validation, and reduced surcharges.

“Asendia USA’s relationship with International Bridge helped a shared customer reduce non-continental US shipping costs while improving delivery performance. Optimized routing and localized injection improved transit times and consistency in Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. The solution reduced operational complexity while delivering a more efficient, cost-effective strategy,” said Nick Agnetti, Director, Enterprise Sales, Asendia USA.

The partnership reflects growing investment in logistics technologies that help ecommerce brands improve delivery experiences, expand geographic reach, and enhance customer satisfaction through faster, more reliable fulfilment services.
