Bloom Introduces TranslateOS to Streamline Healthcare Translation Services

TranslateOS is built to address three common issues with legacy translation services: access, quality, and cost.

Bloom, a provider of healthcare enrollment, member engagement, and technology solutions, has announced TranslateOS, an AI-based, real-time translation service.

This service provides access, within seconds, to translation for more than 99% of common needs, with Live Transcript capabilities, at an estimated 40% lower cost than traditional human translation services.

TranslateOS is built to address three common issues with legacy translation services: access, quality, and cost. Starting a TranslateOS call connects users with a translator for more than 70 languages in seconds. By delivering consistent translation across supported languages, TranslateOS reduces uncertainty about when a translator will join a call.

As to quality, comprehension and accuracy are the foundation of meaningful customer engagement. TranslateOS Live Transcript enables real-time visibility into translated conversations, increasing comprehension and clarity. In today’s cost-conscious environment, getting more for 40% less is exactly what healthcare needs.

“The launch of TranslateOS is our next step in a series of technology solutions designed to deliver substantial cost savings and customer experience improvements to our customers,” said Sherman Rogers, CEO and Founder of Bloom.

“Leveraging next-generation AI opens doors to many opportunities, and it all begins with solving a fundamental problem: efficiently removing the language barriers of today, while creating auditability and compliance at scale. TranslateOS does exactly that.”

TranslateOS includes a Customer Portal and National Command Centre that support translation service management. Designed with HIPAA and SOC 2 requirements in mind, they provide visibility and control features that may not be present in some legacy services:

  • Automatic call recordings and searchable transcripts for each call
  • Real-time service level monitoring and agent utilisation reporting
  • Full data ownership, ensuring all records remain the property of the customer

“TranslateOS delivers market-leading AI translation capabilities without disrupting existing workflows,” said Craig Wigginton, CTO of Bloom. “Our National Command Centre enables human-in-the-loop monitoring of translation performance, at a price point significantly lower than legacy translation services, while delivering superior performance and reliability.”

TranslateOS integrates with existing service centre workflows without requiring additional installations or software on the agent desktop, and it can be deployed quickly. The service focuses on faster access, regulatory compliance, translation quality, and cost efficiency.
