Calendly Adds New Web Browser Extension

With the Extension, customers can instantly book their next meeting or make changes to one already scheduled, schedule a meeting on behalf of others, and keep track of meeting contacts–all from wherever they’re already working online.

Calendly, a centralised scheduling automation platform built for scaling across the organisation, announced a new web browser extension to help customers work smarter and more efficiently.

Customers can instantly book their next meeting or make changes to one already scheduled, schedule a meeting on behalf of others, and keep track of meeting contacts–all from wherever they’re already working online.

“It’s important for DocuSign to deliver the best onboarding experience so customers see our value quickly, and that often starts with scheduling a conversation,” said Gabriele Borges de Souza, International Onboarding Consultant at DocuSign.

“Using Calendly’s real-time scheduling capability within the browser extension is a big win: I can book a follow-up meeting or reschedule almost instantly while I’m still talking to the customer. Those 40 minutes saved per meeting mean I’ve avoided chasing the customer over email and I can reinvest that time in focusing on their needs.”

With Calendly’s web extension for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox, and a similar add-in for Outlook, customers have access to several benefits:

  • See all meetings in one place for instant visibility: The new Meetings tab means customers can make quick decisions about whether to join a live meeting, cancel, or reschedule for conversations booked with Calendly.
  • View contact details and meeting history: Customers can show up to every meeting prepared with attendee contact details and historical notes found within the extension.
  • Schedule meetings on behalf of a team member for more collaboration: Customers can send a team member’s scheduling link or book directly on their behalf once they’ve been granted viewing or editing access.
  • Maintain momentum by booking in the moment: Customers can book meetings in real time directly from the extension to keep the relationship and conversation moving forward.
  • Prioritise meetings for impact: Coming this quarter, customers will have more flexibility to book over existing meetings to make sure the most important conversations get scheduled.

“In today’s digital workplace, users want their favourite apps integrated across all of their workflows,” said Calendly Chief Product Officer Stephen Hsu. “Our new web browser extension enables Calendly users to prepare, schedule, handover, and progress a meeting across the apps and websites they’re already using. Our scheduling solutions are integrated across all of their customer-facing workflows, reducing painful clicks and back-and-forths across systems.”
