Swedish bank Handelsbanken has partnered with UK-based fintech Meniga to utilise its customer engagement tools in a bid to enhance the digital banking experience for its customers in Norway.
Meniga’s solutions will enable the bank to offer automated tools and personalised financial insights to its customers in Norway to help “facilitate informed financial decisions and improve overall financial health”, the fintech says.
In addition to offering personal finance management services, Meniga also provides financial institutions with predictive analytics, personalised engagement technologies, and carbon insight services.
Due to “intense competition from major industry players”, the deal symbolises a “clear endorsement” of Meniga’s “approach to finance management and personalised insights solutions”, claims company CEO Raj Soni.
Øystein Aulin, Head of Technology and Digital Development at Handelsbanken in Norway, expects the partnership will enable the bank to provide its Norwegian clients with a “more intuitive and personal financial experience”.
Meniga, which secured €15 million in Series D funding last December, has seen significant demand in the Nordic region. In addition to its collaboration with Handelsbanken, the UK firm signed an agreement last November with Iceland’s Landsbankinn to power its new open banking services.
