JetBlue and ClarityPay Launch Personalised Pay Later Programme

JetBlue and ClarityPay have launched a personalised pay-later programme that combines flexible financing with loyalty rewards and personalised travel experiences.

JetBlue, an airline serving destinations across the US, Caribbean, Latin America, Canada, and Europe, has partnered with ClarityPay to launch a personalised pay-later programme that combines flexible financing with loyalty rewards to improve the customer booking experience.

ClarityPay, a provider of point-of-sale financing solutions, enables customers to view personalised payment plans when booking flights, allowing them to spread travel costs and continue earning TrueBlue loyalty points on eligible purchases.

The programme also lays the foundation for additional loyalty benefits, with JetBlue planning to introduce incremental TrueBlue points for eligible ClarityPay bookings later this year.

Bringing Financing and Loyalty Together

“We set out to give our customers a best-in-class pay later solution. ClarityPay listened and delivered, tailoring the programme to our needs and building a solution that increases value to our customers, grows sales, and expands our loyalty ecosystem,” said Ed Pouthier, Vice President of Loyalty and Personalisation, JetBlue.

Customers can access personalised instalment plans ranging from six weeks to 48 months while shopping, with eligible travellers receiving an introductory 0% APR on repayment terms of up to 12 months. The financing options are integrated directly into the booking journey, allowing customers to plan purchases before checkout rather than treating financing as a separate payment option.

Delivering More Personalised Travel Experiences

The solution also supports JetBlue’s branded customer experience by enabling personalised offers for upgrades, ancillary services, loyalty promotions, and financial products within the airline’s booking ecosystem.

“JetBlue has one of the most powerful loyalty ecosystems, yet financing has historically lived outside that ecosystem. Together with JetBlue, we are creating loyalty-linked travel financing that gives customers more flexibility while giving airlines greater control over commerce, loyalty, and customer experience,” said Tom Carter, Chief Commercial Officer, ClarityPay.
