RxUtility Launches Mimi AI Companion for Drug Price Comparison

RxUtility enables personalised medication price comparison with Mimi, helping consumers navigate affordability options through conversational AI and real-time data.

RxUtility has announced the beta launch of Mimi, an AI-powered companion designed to help consumers navigate the full range of medication cost options.

The platform enables users to engage in a personalised, conversational experience to compare prescription prices based on insurance coverage, location, and budget.

Mimi is built on a comprehensive dataset covering prescription drug pricing across US pharmacies, allowing users to identify the most cost-effective options for their specific needs.

“Mimi walks each person through every price and discount option, literally every price at every pharmacy. That means no more guesswork and no more abandoned prescriptions because a consumer didn’t know a better price existed,” said Miriam Paramore, Chief Executive Officer, RxUtility.

The system works by asking for simple inputs, such as medication name, dosage, and insurance details, to generate personalised recommendations.

It compares prices across nearby pharmacies, insurance estimates, copay assistance programs, and cash discount options to surface the lowest available price.

Nearly 98 million prescriptions are abandoned annually due to cost-related issues, with studies indicating that 43% of adults have not taken prescribed medication due to pricing uncertainty.

RxUtility’s platform aggregates affordability data and enables integration across providers, pharmacies, employers, and digital health platforms.

Key Features

  • Conversational AI interface to simplify pricing decisions
  • Curated data built on continuously updated affordability datasets
  • Flexible B2B2C integration across healthcare platforms
  • White-label deployment options for organisations
  • Rapid deployment with API and workflow compatibility

“When people understand their price options upfront, they’re more confident, more likely to start therapy, and more likely to stick with the medications they need for their health. That kind of transparency has never been available, and now organisations can deploy it effortlessly. Everyone wins,” said Paramore.
