Tealium Launches AI Decisioning and Edge AI Capabilities

Tealium introduces real-time AI decisioning, edge AI, and configuration automation capabilities to help organisations deliver faster, privacy-first customer experiences.

Tealium has announced a new suite of in-platform AI capabilities and integration features designed to help organisations deliver real-time, privacy-first customer experiences powered by live customer data.

The release introduces new AI decisioning, edge AI, orchestration, and configuration capabilities to help enterprises activate customer signals instantly across channels and AI systems.

According to Tealium, many enterprises continue to struggle with fragmented customer signals and delayed data processing, limiting AI systems’ ability to influence customer experiences in real time.

The company stated that the growing shift from experimental AI to production AI environments has increased the need for real-time, consented customer context and immediate activation capabilities.

“AI is only as powerful as the data that feeds it. With our new AI Partner Ecosystem and in-platform capabilities, we are closing the gap between model inference and customer action. By delivering real-time, consented context directly to AI models, we empower enterprises to turn live signals into in-the-moment experiences, without compromising on data governance,” said Jeff Lunsford, Chief Executive Officer, Tealium.

New AI and Data Activation Capabilities

Tealium introduced several new capabilities across its customer data orchestration platform:

  • Tealium Mobile SDK & Edge AI: A native SDK designed to support real-time data collection, consent-aware processing, and on-device AI inference without requiring continuous app store updates.
  • Expansive AI Decisioning: Enables real-time AI decisioning across live customer event streams while supporting Invoke Your Own Model (IYOM) flexibility for enterprise AI environments.
  • Configuration Agent: An MCP-powered configuration agent that allows teams to configure Tealium using natural language prompts through AI tools such as Claude, Gemini, and OpenAI.
  • AI Recommended Audiences: Uses unified real-time customer data to automatically identify high-value audience segments and recommended actions for activation.

According to Tealium, the platform is designed to help organisations maintain existing technology environments while activating AI capabilities in real time with governance and compliance controls intact.

Expanded AI Partner Ecosystem

Tealium also expanded its AI Partner Ecosystem with new bi-directional integrations for OpenAI and Amazon Bedrock.

The integrations allow organisations to send live customer data to AI models and return structured outputs directly into Tealium for real-time activation and orchestration.

The ecosystem also includes integrations with Pinecone for vector retrieval and LangChain for agent orchestration, supporting retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and AI agents grounded in real-time customer context.

Real-Time AI Activation for Customer Experience

Tealium stated that the platform is designed to support real-time customer engagement, operational efficiency, and AI-powered experiences through unified and consented customer data.

The company said organisations can activate AI models and customer engagement workflows instantly without sacrificing governance, control, or composable architecture flexibility.
