Pinterest Upgrades Boards with AI-Powered Personalisation

Pinterest is also testing “Boards made for you”—personalised boards curated using a combination of editorial expertise and AI-powered recommendations.

Pinterest is introducing new AI-powered upgrades to its boards to transform them from simple organisational tools into a more personalised way to browse inspiration, refine your taste, and seamlessly shop. Pinterest users will start seeing these new features over the next few months, globally.

The updated boards will feature a fresh new look and new tabs based on a user’s saved Pins:

  • “Make it yours” for fashion and some home decor boards. This tab will recommend products and content to help users bring their inspirations to life.
  • “More ideas” provides recommended related Pins for all other board categories, such as beauty, recipes and art.
  • “All saves” is where you can find all of your previously saved Pins.

Users can easily find these new tabs by viewing your boards from your profile.

“Boards are central to what makes Pinterest an inspirational experience for our users, so we’re investing in making them even better,” said Vicky Gkiza, VP of Product Management, Pinterest.

In the United States and Canada, Pinterest is experimenting with “Styled for you”—dynamic AI-powered collages created from fashion Pins users have saved to their boards. Pinterest users can mix and match different fashion apparel and accessories to create and shop fresh outfits based on their personal taste.
