Canva Expands Anthropic Collaboration for AI Design

Canva expands its collaboration with Anthropic to turn AI-generated drafts into editable designs and to support interactive content creation via HTML import.

Canva has announced an expanded collaboration with Anthropic, bringing Canva directly into Claude Design to help users turn AI-generated drafts into fully editable designs.

The collaboration enables Claude Design users to move from AI-generated ideas to presentations, documents, social posts, infographics, and other content within Canva’s collaborative editor.

Canva has also introduced HTML importing, allowing users to bring interactive content generated in tools like Claude into Canva for drag-and-drop editing, refinement, and publishing.

The updates are designed to reduce friction in turning AI-generated content into usable, scalable work across visual, document, and interactive formats.

“It’s never been easier to start an idea, but bringing it to life is still too complex and fragmented. We’ve been solving this for more than a decade, and today, more than a quarter of a billion people use Canva every month to turn their ideas into real, usable work. We’re excited to extend our platform even further through this collaboration with Claude Design, making it seamless to turn AI-generated content into fully editable, collaborative, and scalable designs, ready to publish,” said Melanie Perkins, Co-Founder and CEO, Canva.

The collaboration builds on Canva’s existing integration with Claude and expands support for interactive artefacts, including landing pages, widgets, and forms within Canva’s editor.

Canva said the expansion also supports its broader AI ecosystem strategy as demand grows for turning generated content into adaptable and scalable work.

“We’re excited to see AI tools like Claude Design integrating with Canva to make it even easier to turn drafts and ideas into real, usable work. This announcement builds on more than two years of close collaboration with Anthropic, where Canva has become one of the most used apps. We’ve loved working closely with their team and share a deep alignment in making complex things simple for millions of people,” said Danny Wu, Head of AI Products, Canva.

Canva said the announcement builds on the launch of Canva AI 2.0 and supports its expansion beyond design generation into broader AI-powered workflows.
