CLEAR Partners with Expedia for Connected Airport Experiences

CLEAR partners with Expedia to integrate airport identity services directly into the travel booking journey for a more seamless customer experience.

CLEAR has partnered with Expedia to integrate its airport identity and travel services directly into Expedia’s booking and trip management experiences.

According to the companies, the partnership is designed to create a more connected travel journey by linking booking workflows with airport services and traveller support capabilities.

Through Expedia, travellers can now sign up for CLEAR+ and CLEAR Concierge services while planning trips, helping customers move from booking to boarding with fewer operational friction points.

CLEAR+ uses identity verification technology to support faster airport processing through dedicated CLEAR+ lanes at more than 60 U.S. airports, while CLEAR Concierge provides personalised curb-to-gate assistance through dedicated airport ambassadors.

The companies stated that Expedia One Key members who enrol through Expedia will also receive tiered pricing options for CLEAR services.

“Expedia helps you book with confidence, and CLEAR helps you win the day of travel. Together, we’re connecting the journey so travellers can go from booking to boarding with less friction and more control,” said Caryn Seidman Becker, Chief Executive Officer, CLEAR.

Connecting Booking and Airport Experiences

According to the companies, CLEAR services will be integrated across several Expedia customer touchpoints, including:

  • Travel discovery experiences
  • Flight shopping workflows
  • Trip management journeys
  • Airport service sign-up experiences

The integration is designed to simplify traveller access to airport services earlier in the booking process rather than after travel plans are finalised.

“Travellers do not think about booking and the airport as separate moments. This partnership helps Expedia connect those experiences in a more useful way, giving travellers clearer choices before they leave home and more confidence once they get to the airport,” said Tracey Weber, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Expedia.

Improving End-to-End Travel Customer Experience

The partnership reflects broader travel industry investment in connected customer journeys spanning booking, airport processing, identity verification, and personalised travel services.

According to the companies, integrating airport experience services directly into booking environments helps reduce uncertainty, improve traveller convenience, and enhance operational efficiency.

The partnership will initially launch in the United States, with CLEAR positioned across Expedia’s digital customer journey experiences.

CLEAR currently supports more than 41 million members globally through its identity platform and airport access network.
