New Look Opens Omni-hub Concept Store at Metrocentre

New Look has opened its largest concept store at Metrocentre, combining digital services, loyalty benefits and an expanded product range to create a more connected shopping experience.

New Look, a UK fashion retailer, has opened its largest-ever concept store at Metrocentre in north-east England as part of its omni-hub retail strategy. The new 11,000 sq ft store combines an expanded fashion range with digital shopping services, aiming to deliver a more connected and convenient customer experience.

Located in Metrocentre’s Red Mall fashion hub, the store features expanded womenswear, accessories and the 915 teen range, alongside Click & Collect, self-service returns, order-in-store services and digital browsing. The opening follows similar concept store launches at Bluewater, Lakeside and Milton Keynes, as New Look continues to integrate its physical stores with digital capabilities.

“Opening our largest ever concept store is a proud moment for New Look and reflects how we’re continuing to reimagine the role our stores play for customers. This space showcases the very best of what our omni-hub format can offer, combining a wider fashion range with smarter services and digital features that make shopping simpler, more inspiring and more connected than ever before,” said Mark Matthews, Retail Director, New Look.

The new concept store also builds on the retailer’s broader customer engagement strategy. New Look said its Club New Look loyalty programme has surpassed one million members, supported by a £30 million investment in digital capabilities to make shopping more personalised and convenient across stores and online channels.

“We’re pleased to see New Look mark their 20-year presence at Metrocentre with this exciting new concept store in the latest evolution of that partnership. Together, these investments reflect a fashion hub that’s constantly evolving to meet the expectations of our customers, offering a compelling mix of choice, experience and value,” said Ben Cox, Director, Sovereign Centros from CBRE, Asset Managers of Metrocentre.

The Metrocentre opening is the latest milestone in New Look’s omni-hub rollout, bringing together physical retail, digital services and loyalty benefits to create a more seamless shopping journey while strengthening the retailer’s omnichannel strategy.
