APRIL Brings Insurance Quotes to ChatGPT

APRIL has launched its APRIL Moto application in ChatGPT, enabling customers to receive personalised insurance quotes through conversational AI.

APRIL, a European insurance broker, has launched its APRIL Moto application within ChatGPT, enabling customers to receive personalised insurance quotes directly through conversational AI.

The new offering allows users to obtain insurance quotes by interacting naturally with ChatGPT, eliminating the need for lengthy forms or traditional purchasing journeys. The application collects information about a customer’s vehicle, circumstances, and coverage requirements, then connects to APRIL’s pricing engines in real time to generate a tailored quote.

The launch marks a new distribution channel for the insurer, complementing its broker network, website, comparison platforms, and telephone sales operations.

Conversational AI Reshapes Insurance Distribution

Unlike many AI experiences that provide only general information or indicative estimates, APRIL Moto delivers genuine insurance quotes based on real underwriting conditions.

The move reflects changing consumer behaviour, as conversational interfaces increasingly serve as a preferred gateway to accessing services and making purchasing decisions. APRIL said the initiative forms part of its broader strategy to simplify insurance through technology and AI-driven experiences.

“Conversational interfaces are transforming the way consumers access information and make decisions. In the future, many insurance journeys will begin with a conversation. With APRIL Moto in ChatGPT, we are opening a new distribution channel that complements and strengthens our ecosystem of brokers and partners,” said Éric Maumy, Chief Executive Officer, APRIL Group.

Expanding Customer Access Through AI

APRIL has been investing in modernising its technology infrastructure and deploying AI across team members, partners, and customer interactions. By introducing ChatGPT as a customer-facing channel, the company aims to make insurance more accessible, personalised, and seamless.

“Innovation only creates value when it makes customers’ lives easier while enhancing the quality of the support and advice they receive,” added Maumy.

The launch highlights how insurers are increasingly exploring conversational AI not only as a support tool but also as a fully fledged channel for customer acquisition and engagement.
