Delta Launches Wi-Fi as Free Service

Delta Air Lines is upping the customer flight experience by deploying free Wi-Fi to most of its fleet by early February.

“It’s going to be free, it’s going to be fast and its going to be available for everyone,” Delta CEO Ed Bastian said Thursday at CES in Las Vegas, according to a CNN report.

Customers users will need to be a member of the airline’s SkyMiles program. Non-members will be required to pay a $10 fee.

Prior to the free service, Delta customers were paying almost $50 per month for Wi-Fi on flights.
