Zensors Powers TSA Real-Time Wait Time Initiative

Zensors helps airports improve passenger experiences with AI-powered wait time visibility and real-time checkpoint operations management.

Zensors has partnered with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to deploy its Physical AI platform across airport security checkpoints, helping automate passenger throughput monitoring and support the rollout of TSA Real Time Wait Time capabilities. The initiative is designed to improve operational efficiency while providing travellers with more accurate visibility into security checkpoint wait times.

According to the company, the platform captures and analyses operational data in real time, including passenger processing rates, baggage screening times, and checkpoint search activity. The information provides TSA and airport operators with a live view of checkpoint performance while helping improve passenger flow management.

“We are thrilled to partner with TSA on this transformative initiative. Our AI platform enables the rapid deployment of Physical AI to modernise TSA checkpoints, helping TSA advance its capabilities nationwide with continuous, accurate insights,” said Anuraag Jain, CEO, Zensors.

Delivering Real-Time Visibility into Passenger Journeys

The Zensors Hologram platform uses AI models deployed on existing airport security cameras to automate what were previously manual monitoring and reporting processes. The company said the solution can track operational activity in real time and support decisions such as opening or closing security lanes, allocating staff resources, and directing passengers to optimise checkpoint throughput.

TSA has introduced new Real Time Wait Time requirements that establish a standardised approach for measuring and displaying passenger wait times from queue entry through checkpoint exit. Airports deploying approved AI solutions will be authorised to display the official TSA Real Time Wait Time designation.

According to Zensors, the initiative is intended to create a more consistent and transparent security screening experience for passengers while helping airports and TSA teams manage operations more effectively.

Supporting Airport Experience Improvements

Boston Logan International Airport is among the first airports to deploy the Zensors platform across all security checkpoints and make TSA Real Time Wait Time information available to travellers. The company said the deployment is already supporting operational planning and improving situational awareness during periods of high passenger demand.

Zensors is also working with additional airports to expand adoption of the platform as the TSA programme rolls out more broadly across the United States.

The partnership reflects growing investment in AI-powered operational technologies that help airports improve passenger experiences by providing better visibility, reducing uncertainty, and enabling more efficient management of high-traffic environments.
