OTB Group and Google Cloud Launch AI-Powered Virtual Try-On Experiences

OTB Group and Google Cloud introduce AI-powered virtual try-on experiences to deliver more personalised shopping, immersive clienteling, and digital engagement across fashion brands.

OTB Group and Google Cloud have announced a collaboration to launch AI-powered personalised shopping experiences using Google Cloud’s virtual try-on API.

The project will initially launch across Diesel and Jil Sander in the United States and Europe, then expand to Marni and Maison Margiela, followed by additional markets in the coming months.

Designed as a premium clienteling tool, the experience enables advisors to share curated, hyper-realistic visual previews with customers, offering a 360-degree product view and more immersive digital shopping interactions.

Google Cloud’s AI infrastructure, Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, and Gemini models power the solution, with OTB Group planning to expand the capabilities across its wider brand portfolio.

“I have always believed in technology as a strategic lever to enhance human talent, at the service of people and creativity. In this context, artificial intelligence represents an extraordinary opportunity to make the customer experience more advanced, engaging and personalised,” said Renzo Rosso, Chairman and Founder, OTB Group.

“Together with Google Cloud, we have implemented a virtual try-on solution that introduces a new personalised shopping experience and provides our teams with more effective tools to deliver outstanding service and build closer relationships with clients. This project brings to life a vision I have been nurturing for over three years,” said Rosso.

AI-Powered Virtual Shopping Experiences

The virtual try-on capability allows customers to preview products digitally through AI-generated visual experiences that replicate premium in-store shopping experiences.

According to the companies, the technology supports more personalised customer journeys while helping advisors deliver tailored recommendations and product engagement experiences remotely.

Beyond virtual fitting experiences, customers can also use AI image editing capabilities powered by Google’s Nano Banana model to place themselves into Diesel and Jil Sander campaign environments and fashion events.

The images can then be transformed into AI-generated video experiences using Google’s Veo video generation model.

Enhancing Clienteling Through AI

The collaboration is designed to extend AI-driven clienteling capabilities while helping retail teams create more engaging, confidence-building shopping experiences.

“Technology is at its best when it solves real-world challenges for the customer. This collaboration demonstrates how Google Cloud’s AI can elevate the retail team’s role beyond mere task automation. By integrating Google Cloud’s Virtual Try-On, OTB Group is pushing past standard transactions to provide client advisors with the AI tools needed to deliver deeply personal, confident shopping experiences at a global scale,” said Matt Renner, President and Chief Revenue Officer, Google Cloud.
