The new Click & Collect proposition boosts convenience by complementing B&Q’s in-store returns for third-party marketplace purchases—bridging online orders with physical store services for a connected CX.
B&Q is now offering a Click and Collect service for items sold by third-party sellers on the retailer’s B&Q Marketplace offering. The pilot has just kicked off in the UK and will be followed by a wider, phased roll-out across 300 B&Q stores.
In a LinkedIn post, Aimé Matondo Fundani, Marketplace Director at B&Q, said, “Our customers can now order an even broader range of products online and choose to collect them at their local B&Q store, making shopping on our marketplace more flexible and convenient.”
“With nearly 90% of our customers starting their shopping journey online, and a strong conversion into store footfall, we know how important a seamless integration between digital and in-store experiences is.”
“This new proposition further enhances convenience for our customers by complementing our existing in-store returns for third-party marketplace purchases.”
Aimé Matondo Fundani added, “This service does not only benefits customers. It also gives our third-party sellers a valuable new delivery option, which allows them reach shoppers who prefer collecting their orders in-store.”
The move is part of B&Q’s wider strategy to strengthen its omnichannel presence and improve CX through convenience, speed, and flexible fulfilment.
