Retailer Next to Replatform Mobile Commerce Offering to Native App

Fashion and homeware retailer Next announced plans to replatform its mobile commerce offering to a native app.

Next, a British omnichannel clothing, footwear and home products retailer, will focus in 2025 on replatforming its mobile commerce offering to a native app.

In a LinkedIn post, Jessica Bennett, Lead Product Owner at Next, said that the move marks the beginning of “a new and thrilling phase in our journey.”

She also shared some key milestones achieved by the Mobile Apps team over the past six months. This included the delivery of 13 planned projects and successful completion of 12 unplanned projects.

The team also: Conducted ongoing seasonal reviews, resulting in the cancellation of six original projects (with business alignment); Realised a 30-week time savings compared to initial project estimates; Experienced an increase in spend on BAU and unplanned requests; Ended the season with no projects carried over, setting Next up for a fresh start in the upcoming season.

Bennett concluded: “I’m incredibly proud of the team’s dedication and achievements, and I’m excited for what the next six months will bring. Here’s to another season of growth and innovation!”
